Timaru airport
Air New Zealand offers daily direct flights from Timaru to Wellington and from Auckland, via Wellington. Timaru Airport is about eight kilometres north of Timaru township.
InterCity Bus The Intercity buses are a great option to get to Timaru. There are services to and from Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown and Te Anau. A bus from Christchurch will take approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Christchurch Airport
Christchurch airport offers many flight options from places all across New Zealand. This is a great option if you don’t mind a small drive along the coast to Timaru. Christchurch airport is just a 2 hour and 10 minute drive to Timaru.
Drive
We’re an easy drive along State Highway 1 from Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin. Timaru is also enroute to the Mackenzie Country and Aoraki Mt Cook.
